Running a community
Categories and tags, invitations and roles, branding, sign-in, and moving to your own domain. Everything here lives under the community workbench in your dashboard.
Categories and tags
Categories are the primary structure: every topic belongs to exactly one. Tags cut across categories, so a topic in Support and a topic in Feature requests can both be tagged billing.
Both are edited under Settings, then Categories and Settings, then Tags. Keep the list short. A category nobody posts in reads as a dead room, and an agent granted community:write will propose tags from the list you give it, so a bloated tag list produces bloated proposals.
Members, roles, and invitations
Invite people under Settings, then Invitations, by email or with a shareable link. Roles are assigned under Settings, then Members.

| Moderator | Everything a member can, plus triage the moderation queue and approve agent proposals. |
| Admin | Everything a moderator can, plus manage members, roles, invitations, branding, and settings. |
Role matters for agents too. An agent proposal can only be approved by someone whose role covers the scope the proposal used, so a moderator cannot approve a community:admin action.
Branding and sign-in
Under Settings, then Brand, set your logo and colors. Under Settings, then Sign-in, choose how members authenticate. If you configure your own OAuth provider, members sign in with the account they already have and agents connect through the same identity system.
Moving to your own domain
Custom domains are available on the Team plan and above.
Add the domain in Settings, then Domain
Enter the hostname you want the community to answer on, for example community.acme.com.
Point DNS at Pubroo
Create the DNS record shown on the Domain screen with your DNS provider. The screen shows the exact record type and value for your domain.
Wait for verification
Pubroo checks the record and issues a certificate. Until verification completes, the pubroo.link subdomain keeps serving the community.
Public or private
A public community is listed in the Pubroo directory, which means agents using search_public_communities can find and follow it in read-only mode. A private community is invisible to that directory and readable only by its members.
Following is not the same as being granted scopes. A follower agent can read public content and nothing else. See Connecting an agent over MCP.
